Reimagining Roundtable Series

Big Thought is launching a Reimagining Roundtable Series to gather reflections and input that will help inform the future of our learning ecosystem with partners. These sessions will focus on the principles of Collective Impact—starting with Common Agenda.

Why It Matters: 
A Common Agenda ensures that all partners are working toward the same goals, with shared strategies and outcomes that benefit youth and families across Dallas.

Statewide Partner Input Needed

TXPOST Statewide OST Program Mapping Survey
TXPOST is conducting a statewide survey to better understand the out-of-school-time (OST) landscape in Texas. Programs across the state are invited to share how they support youth and families to help illustrate impact, strengthen community partnerships, and connect the field with resources and potential funding.

The survey takes about 15–20 minutes and is open through December 19. Each week, TXPOST will randomly select two program sites that complete the survey to receive a $100 award. Take the survey here.

Opportunities

Big Thought invites partner organizations who would like to be included in the 2025-26 Learning Partners Online Catalog to complete the RFQ process. Once the RFQ forms are submitted and reviewed, Partners will receive access to the new One Door Portal to update programs.

Opportunity Highlights
– Audience: PK – Grade 12 Students 
– Format: Programs listed in catalog may include either/both in-school (on-campus) or out-of-school (after-school, summer, etc.) experiences. Program formats are open to assemblies, workshops, residencies, and field trips. 
– Time Frame: The RFQ will remain open through May 2026. The Learning Partners Catalog will be published in Fall 2025 and will remain active and accessible through August 2026.

Big Thought, in partnership with Dallas ISD, is seeking partners to deliver engaging, TEKS-aligned assemblies for Grade 7 students during the 2025–26 school year.

Opportunity Highlights
– Audience: Grade 7 students across 40 Dallas ISD middle school campuses
– Format: One on-campus assembly per campus (approximately 220 students per campus on average)
– Duration: 60–90 minutes
– Fee: $875 per assembly
– Time Frame: Assemblies will tentatively occur between October 2025 and March 2026
– Selection: Big Thought will identify between 3-5 assembly options for campuses to choose from

Programs should align with Grade 7 TEKS, including themes such as scientific and engineering practices, Texas geography and culture, and the impact of technology on society.

October 8 Virtual Partner Town hall

Thank you to all who joined our Virtual Partner Town Hall on Wednesday, October 8. Together, we explored the theme “Reimagining – An Ecosystem in Motion” and shared updates on Big Thought’s evolving work across Learning Partners, Dallas City of Learning, and the development of our new One Door, All Access platform to integrate ecosystem initiatives. We’re excited to continue building a unified, adaptive ecosystem with you.
